Bipin Kumar joined Tata Steel as a graduate trainee in 1992 after completing his mining engineering from the prestigious IIT, Kharagpur. His areas of expertise include Iron ore, Coal, Chrome ore, Bauxite & Limestone mining.

Having worked in various capacities in the mines division, Ferro Alloys and Mineral Division & Global Mineral Resources team. To add to his credit, he has also led various opencast mining operations & Greenfield mining projects. Having visited more than 10 countries, it is safe to say that he is no less than an expert in the mining industry.
